IT DOES SEEM LIKE CATS ARE ALWAYS hanging around near books. Of course, this is just a coincidence but it does remind one again of that age-old question: who’s smarter, cats or dogs? (Everyone thinks cats, so it’s actually not much of a thought-provoking query. This is mostly the fault of a few dumb dogs online giving them a bad name.)

It would be great if cats could read, I suppose. Alas, I can only dream of getting blurbs and reviews for this book from actual cats. But I say suppose because I’m assuming the reviews would be good. So, the lesson there is that you have to watch what you wish for. But it would be fun to speculate what books would be a cat’s favorite books to read. Probably cookbooks. And maybe knitting books and murder mysteries.
